Partridge Pigeon - Kimberley subspecies (Geophaps smithii blaauwi). At Mitchell Plateau, Kimberley, Western Australia. This race which has the orbital skin a deep yellow is restricted to the far north of the Kimberley where it inhabits cleared areas with short grasses and bare dusty patches among the giant sandstone boulders of the region.
