The Mint building (Monetny Dvor, or Coins Court), in St Petersburg, Russia. The Mint was established in 1724 by Peter the Great -- this building was completed in 1806. It is one of only two places in the country where Russian coins, medals and badges are minted (the other place being Moscow).
