A stone at Heathfield, East Sussex, marking the spot where rebel Jack Cade was slain by Alexander Iden, Sheriff of Kent on 12th July 1450. Jack Cade (possible real name John Aylmer or John Mortimer) - the leader of a popular revolt in the 1450 Kent rebellion which took place in the time of King Henry VI in England. Declared himself Lord Mayor of London. Gathered his rebels at Blackheath, close to the current location of the world-famous Mary Evans Picture Library.
