The Mexican Revolution (1910 - 1920) - Death of Pablo Lopez. in January 1916, Villista Pablo Lopez attacked and killed 15 American miners at Santa Isabel, Chihuahua. Lopez quickly became the number two target of the United States (behind Pancho Villa). Lopez was captured by Carrancista troops and allegedly executed. There is some debate as to whether the corpse actually shown to US troops (pictured here!) was the body of Lopez.
