Visit of Edward, Prince of Wales (later, King Edward VIII, then Duke of Windsor) at Chateau DeLoyer, Belgium in January 1919. 32nd Division, Artillery Headquarters, Belgium. Taken between the signing of the Armistice on the 11th November 1918, and the date of Demobilisation, May 1st 1919. In the collection of silhouette artist, Harry Lawrence Oakley, who was stationed there as ADC to the GOC of the 32nd Division. Note the little boy, dressed up for the occasion in velvet breeches, but not behaving very well for the camera!
