The Llywelyn Monument at Cilmeri near Builth Wells - memorial to Llywelyn ap Gruffydd or Llywelyn Ein Llyw Olaf ("Llywelyn, Our Last Leader") (1223?1282), sometimes rendered as Llywelyn II - the last Prince of an Independent Wales before its conquest by Edward I of England. The original memorial erected by Squire Blyth in 1902 (as depicted on this card), was dismantled and incorporated in the steps leading the monument site, and a large monolith erected in its place in 1956.
