A photograph of Lady Diana Manners (1892-1986), later known as Lady Diana Cooper, a prominent social figure who helped raise funds for the Red Cross and other war charities during WW1. The youngest daughter of the Duke of Rutland, she was a popular member of an elite group of society intellectuals, known as the Coterie. They included Raymond Asquith, Patrick Shaw-Stewart and Edward Horner, all of whom were killed in the First World War.
