Article in The Graphic, written by Margaret Chute, reporting on the opening of the Eagle YMCA Hut in Aldwych, London, which opened 3rd September 1917 and was intended as a centre for American servicemen in London. Guests at the Eagle Hut could enjoy a meal, get a bed for the night, find others who were from the same state and be amused by regular entertainments. The hut was opened by the American Ambassador, Dr.Walter H. Page.
