The Japanese Battleship - Kashima, shown at the Armstrong Whitworth shipyard at Elswick, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England, just after launch in March, 1905. The Kashima was the second ship of the two Katori-class pre-dreadnought battleships built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) in the 1900s and the last to be built by British shipyards.
