The puzzle consists of five cubes, covered with a representations of the five Allied flags (Union Flag, US Flag, Nationalist China Flag, USSR Flag, St George's Flag) on five of the six surfaces. On the sixth surface of each cube, one of the flags is repeated, and a different flag is repeated on each cube. It would appear that the idea is to arrange the cubes in a line, so that no one flag is repeated on any one side, by means of the permutations available. A similar puzzle was produced for World War One with different allied flags.
