The 'Fram' - the Steam Schooner of explorer Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930) leaving Bergen on 2nd July 1893, bound for the Arctic Ocean. Fram was also used in expeditions of the Arctic and Antarctic regions by the Norwegian explorers Otto Sverdrup, Oscar Wisting, and Roald Amundsen between 1893 and 1912.
