First produced at the Haymarket Theatre on 8th December 1909.The programme, which gives the title as ?The Bluebird?, says the bird, inhabitant of ?the fabulous blue country of our dreams, is an ancient symbol of the folk-lore of Lorraine, and stands for Happiness?.
