In November 1946, Eaton's (a large Canadian Fashion Retailer) presented 'The British Ambassadors of Fashion'. This show had been developed and organised by Miss Clayton of the Lucie Clayton School of Modelling in London. The International tour was backed by British manufacturers and fashion houses, despite shortages of goods to show. The designers who took part included Peter Russell, Hardy Amies, Creed, Digby Morton, Bianca Mosca, Worth, Angele Delanghe and Norman Hartnell.
