Liberty Bell, Philadelphia. Famously symbolising America, it is dated 1753. The Biblical text reads 'Proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land unto all the Inhabitants Thereof'. In 1776 it was rung to celebrate Independence. The bell was cast in London but cracked on its first trial. It was re-cast in Philadelphia but cracked again in 1835.
