An invading lepidopteran native to Asia, consuming box leaves and whose incredible outbreak has caused the death of 99% of the Bugey and Sud Jura bauxeries. In summer, the caterpillars produce these immense silk threads at the end of which they form their cocoon and metamorphose into butterflies.
