Biblical scene, Acts 26: 14: 'And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.' The conversion of Paul on the road to road to Damascus: Saul of Tarsus, (whose Latin name was Paul), was travelling from Jerusalem to Damascus on a mission to arrest the disciples of Jesus and bring them back to Jerusalem, when the resurrected Jesus appeared to him in a great light.
