Allergic crease on nose in hay fever in a 12-year-old boy with allergic rhinitis. The allergic crease (nasal crease) is a transverse line that sometimes occurs in patients with allergic rhinitis. Hay fever is an allergic reaction to pollen in the air, released by flowers. The allergic reaction inflames the membranes of the eyes and nose, causing watering eyes and sneezing. Rhinitis (inflammation of the nose membranes) leads to increased production of nasal mucus.
