SpaceX Crew Dragon crew capsule being offloaded from the company's recovery ship, Go Searcher, at the end of the Demo-1 mission. Demo-1 was the first orbital test of the Dragon 2 spacecraft and the inaugural flight of NASA's Commercial Crew Program - a space flight system designed for humans and built and operated by a commercial company through a public-private partnership. The unmanned spacecraft was launched onboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA, on 2nd March 2019. It made 18 orbits of Earth before successfully docking with the International Space Station (ISS) on 3rd March 2019. Data from Demo-1 will be used to further prepare for Demo-2, the manned flight test that will carry NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the ISS in May 2020. Photographed at Port Canaveral, Florida, USA, on 9th March 2019.
