Anatomy of the bladder in humans and its relationships in the pelvic cavity. This medical illustration represents the full bladder and the prostate in section in the male pelvic cavity. In front is the pubic symphysis, then the bladder, the ureters on each side and the rectum behind. It is located in the lower part of the pelvic cavity formed by the pelvis and the sacrum, while the coccyx is not visible in this drawing. The lower parts of the inferior vena cava and the abdominal aorta branch off at L4 to give the iliac vessels which run along the bladder on either side. Finally, we distinguish the pelvic lymphatic system that surrounds and follows the vascular network of the region. - Restriction : Exclusive to pharmaceutical laboratories in Belgium. from 04/26/2020
