This drug, marketed as Stivarga, is a multi-kinase inhibitor used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer, advanced hepatocellular carcinoma and advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumours. It blocks a number of cell signaling molecules (kinases) and prevents cell proliferation and the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) to the cancer.
