Myxopapillary ependymoma is a specific subtype of ependymomas that is seen almost exclusively in the燾onus medullaris and filum terminale of the spinal cord. The mean age at presentation is about?5 years. It is a爏low-growing, WHO Grade I tumour爓ith爀xcellent prognosis爓hen resected completely. Perivascular mucoid degeneration and dyscohesion produces爌apillary structures爓hich are lined by cuboidal or columnar cells. There is燼bundant stromal mucin爏ecreted by the tumour cells.
