Shannon Walker (born 1965), NASA astronaut and physicist. Walker was selected to be a NASA astronaut in 2004. She graduated with a doctorate in Space Physics in 1992 from Rice University, Texas, USA. Walker was a mission specialist on the SpaceX Crew-1 Dragon mission. It launched on 15th November 2020 to the International Space Station (ISS). It was the first operational crewed flight of the Crew Dragon spacecraft and the first NASA-certified manned spacecraft launch from US soil since the Space Shuttle was retired in 2011.
