This is a type of cirrhosis characterised by the presence of small regenerative uniform nodules measuring less than 3mm in diameter. In cirrhosis, the liver is generally firm and demonstrates a micronodular of macronodular pattern, where the colour ranges from beefy red (normal) to dark green (cholestasis) or yellow (steatosis).
