Common examples of projections are the shadows cast by opaque objects and motion pictures displayed on a screen. Projective geometry has its origins in the early Italian Renaissance, particularly in the architectural drawings of Filippo Brunelleschi and Leon Battista Alberti, who invented the method of perspective drawing
