The urban area is seen in grey at left, and also includes cities outside of Delhi, such as Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, and Gurugram. Around 1000 people a day were moving to this urban area in 2016, with a projected addition of 400 million people by 2050. This image was obtained on 5 June 2018 by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) sensor (bands 7,6,4) on NASA's Landsat 8 satellite. For the same area in 1989, see image C046/3145.
