Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of the fungus Aspergillus niger. It produces copious spiked black spores and is a major problem as a contaminant in laboratory cultures and causes ?榖lack mould??on a range of fruit and vegetables. It is used in a range of chemical processes including the production of anti-cancer drugs.
