Native copper is pure copper occurring as a natural mineral. Copper is one of the few metallic elements that can occur in such a native form, although it most commonly occurs in oxidized states and mixed with other elements. This specimen has a dendritic habitat and is corroded on the surface. Provenance is the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, UK. width of specimen is 130 mm.
