With a flowing mane and tail and highly defined muscles, standing by a lake in an empty landscape lit by a setting sun (symbolising Napoleon??? fall from power). The original painting was painted for the Duke of Northumberland. It was exhibited at the Royal Academy, No.219, in 1826.
