The back is formed from two decorative scrolls of bentwood which mirror each other and are enclosed by a single piece of bentwood which is arched round to form the top rail, back uprights and back legs. The seat is caned. The front legs turn out slightly at the feet and have simple turned decoration at the top. There is a printed paper label attached to the inside of the seat rail which reads \'K.Kausschl.prisu (?) landesbef.Fabriken/massiv gebogener helz arbeiten/Von Gebr羹der Thonet in Wien\' and is printed also with \'GT\' monograms.); 穢 Geffrye Museum .
