5052978 Tunnel entrance, Douglas, Isle of Man, 1932-34 (b/w photo) by Frowde, John James (1868-1946); Manx National Heritage (Isle of Man); (add.info.: On the back of this photograph John James Frowde writes, "Probably tunnel to underneath the cellar of Mother Pratt\'s in Laxey Inn Yard. This, (a photo by Keig- the operator could not say where he took it), could only be the dip of the tunnel to underneath the cellar of Mother Pratt\'s in the Laxey Inn Yard. Facing south by the sunlight on the paving. It passed through the cellars of 11 Seneschal Lane and 3 St. Barnabas\' Square and this is the only place where it descends to underneath an actual cellar. The foreman gave his opinion that entrance to it could only have been got by a trapdoor in the floor in Mother Pratt\'s cellar. This comes out much better in a whole plate enlargement I have of it."); by Manx National Heritage .
