5669225 The Vaillant Little Tailor, German folk tale that is among those collected by the Brothers Grimm in the first volume of Tales of childhood., a series of \'Epinal images created by Imagerie Pellerin, France. 1860 (illustration); (add.info.: Jean-Charles Pellerin (1756-1836), French draftsman, illustrator and printer. He is famous for the images of epinal which he composed since the Revolution and which he printed himself from 1800. Succeeding his father, he took in 1773 the direction of the "Factory of Pellerin" 3. From 1796, he expanded his activity and created the "Imagerie Pellerin". As early as 1800, he started a small business, a real imaginary industry, which later became known as Imagerie d\'epinal. Charles Nicolas Pellerin (1827-1887), his grandson, launched the collection of "constructions": cardboard models to cut and assemble - an aspect of the production of the little-known Imagerie d\'Epinal.); Universal History Archive/UIG.
