Hand Workers Have Large Share in Queen's Coronation Robe. Hand warping for silk is carried out by Mrs. Whitehead, at the Braintree mills. Cloth is formed in the loom by interlacing the warp, or longitudinal threads, with the waft, or transverse threads. Weavers began to-day (Tuesday) the half a yard a day task of making the 20 yards of velvet for the Queen's Coronation robe, at the Now Mills of Warner & Sons, Limited, at Braintree, Essex.
