Left Grazing near a disused quarry in Hawthorn at the week-end, Peter, a horse owned by Mr G. Young apparently thought there was better feed elsewhere, so he fell 75ft. into the pit. Peter was unhurt. Today's picture shows him feeding on chaff which his owner carried down to him today. The dotted line shows Peter's unorthodox track. June 2, 1949.
