Arrowing Time For Cane Men -- Arrowing, or flowering, of sugar cane is forcing many cane farmers to cut crops much earlier titan usual. The arrowing, which prevents further growth, is more extensive this year This was stated last night by Mr. C. H. O'Brien, sugar technologist to the Australian Sugar Producers' Association, and editor of The Australian Sugar Journal. "Arrowing has occurred in varieties of cane which do not usually arrows."
