Victims of German Time Bomb At Naples An Italian civilian, seriously injured wanders dazedly from the ruins caused by a German time bomb which exploded in the Naples Post Office several days after the Germans had retreated from the city. An Italian boy, also injured, holds his back where he was struck by flying debris. Many Italian civilians--men, women and children--were caught in the explosion and either killed or seriously injured. Those who survived were promptly aided by American and British soldiers who liberated the city. November 29, 1943. (Photo by U.S Office Of War Information Picture).
