Features of the kit include an outer wool-lined gaberdine parka and special boots. The total weight of the kit, including bots, is between 19 and 20 lbs. The outer parka is only for use in very cold weather. Underneath there is a "temperate" combat suit of self-lined gaberdine with detachable hood. There is also a combat cap of new design.
