Perspex Top for Royal Tour Cars: Offering perfect weather protection while affording the public a good view of the occupants is the molded Perspex top fitted to the Hooper Open Touring body of this Daimler 'Straight Light' car. The car and the top -- largest single piece of molded transparent plastic ever used for commercial purpose - are the model for the cars to be used on the tour of Australia & New Zealand by Princess Elizabeth and the Lake of Edinburgh in 1952.
