A model of Britain's first atomic pile, the Gleep (graphite low energy experimental pile) is now on view at the Science Museum, London, by permission of the Ministry of Supply. In the real Gleep at Harwell, a wall or shield of concrete, five feet thick surrounds the actual pile. In this model this has been partly cut away. February
