Tell-Tale Hats (Seventh - End of Set) -- By their hats you shall know them... that might very well be the theme of this layout of headgear which may seem silly and outlandish to some of us, but which fit in nicely in the right locale. The hats often tell us something of the people wearing them. Look at each picture long enough and you will feel its mood, stare at the face and hat and you will sense the heat of the Congo, smell the smoke of the Ruhr Valley, or hear the guttural chatter in a Frankfurt bazaar. This also applies to animals with odd-looking hats. Here, for instance, a Geneva cab horse sports a tassled crocheted bonnet that covers his ears. That's the way they happen to do it in the Swiss city - so it's nothing startling there. April 29, 1955. (Photo by United Press).
