Police Baton Charges In Johannesburg -- Men and women lying on the ground as the police, armed with batches and staves, disperse the crowd demonstrating against the arrest of Mr. E. S. Sachs, general secretary of the Garment Workers Union. There are violent scenes outside the Johannesburg City Hall when, during a protest meeting by the Garment Workers Union, Mr. E. S. Sachs, general secretary of the Union, was arrested.
