Five dice. Dice are a very ancient invention and were used before recorded history although their origin is unknown. The most common dice used today is a plastic cube. On its six sides are spots from one to six. Casino dice are made to very high standards to eliminate the possibility that the indentations change the bias. Used in many board games they are also a useful maths aid for teaching about numbers.
