Under the molecular layer is the Purkinje cell layer showing very large neurons, with a pear-shaped cell body and dendrites towards the molecular layer. Under Purkinje cells is the granular layer that shows many nuclei of granule cells and, among them, pink areas (cerebellar glomeruli).
