Epidermoid cyst on the cheek of a 19 year old male patient. Epidermoid cysts are benign sac-like growths on the skin containing keratin. They are formed when skin (epidermal) cells move under the skin grow into the middle layer of skin (dermis). If needed, they can be removed by surgery.
