Japan. Mid 19th c.
Lacquer with mother-of-pearl. In a metal frame stylized like bamboo. The panel on one side with Fujiwara Hirai Yasumasa blowing his flute (yokobue) with Kid鬽aru stalking him. They are depicted at a small river with flowers in small mother-of-pearl inlays in bas-relief. On the other side in silver togidashi a pair of egrets under the moon with a third egret landing. Height 27;7cm; width 22cm. Signed: Shink?and ka? Not registerd; but mid 19th c. Condition A/B.
