Flower arranging; Children playing and two flower-arranging women in a room adjacent to a garden with blooming chrysanthemums. A third woman hangs a sign on which the name 'Hokus鬭n' is written. Top left and upside down under the entire performance; poems by different poets. This surimono was probably issued on the occasion of the appointment of the poet Hokus鬭n as a member of the jury of poets; or due to his name being changed. The surimono is folded in half over the middle; so that the poems form the back of the performance.; Ry鹯y鹝yo Shinsai (mentioned on object); Japan; 1800 - 1810; paper; copper powder; colour woodcut; h 410 mm x w 570 mm
