RUSSIAN REVOLUTION The facade of the Labor Palace in Petrograd. Already Nikolaevsky Palace; designed in 1853-1861 by Andrej Stackenschneider for the Grand Duke Nicholas the Elder; third son of Emperor Nicholas I; in 1894 it was transformed by the crown into the Xenia Institute for young Nobildonne; at the end of the second century the olsheviks turned it into the headquarters of the trade unions; a role that it still holds after the dissolution of the Soviet Union; after a century; in addition to hosting commercial offices and being the scene of folklore shows of the "Sentitevi russi" strand.
