It is a low rectangular cupboard with a raised smoke box in the middle over the entire length; on which the chimney stands. The whole is bolted on deck with small legs. The two sides on each side of the smoke cabinet are identical except for the hot plates: they consist of three fireplaces with grilles and doors that slide vertically. The hot plates are simple metal plates with round holes for the pans and surrounded by a railing. Between the two rows of fireplaces under the smoking cabinet; bread ovens with shelves have been fitted; which are accessible along the short sides. The smoke from the fires passes over the bread ovens into the smoker and on to the chimney. Ovens are also fitted in the short sides of the smoking cabinet.
