Model of a Dredger; Model of a chain dredger with a rock mill located on the front deck. The covered roller mill drives the chain via a gear with a long transmission shaft that runs below deck from the roller mill to the rear gear of the chain. The depth of the bucket; over which the chain with brass links and wooden blades runs; is controlled with a large vertical wheel with winch and hoists. The bin ends up on the aft deck and the mud is drained from behind through a gutter; the height of the gutter can be adjusted with a hoist. A hoist runs from a winch right on the port side via the yoke of the wheel to the bucket and holds the bucket in a downward position.
