Monstrans from the R.K. church in Vessem; Noord-Brabant; The object consists of the following parts: the foot; which becomes the lower half of the trunk; the nodus; the upper half of the trunk; the bottom of the holder; the host standard (the lunula); the frames and the two vertical connection pieces (the buttresses); then the crown; consisting of a cover; on which a spire composed of ten parts is placed. The parts are largely assembled and secured with pins. The bottom of the holder is riveted. The six-lobed foot ends in a wide flat edge at the bottom. It merges upwards with the hexagonal trunk; which in the center has a coarse nodus decorated with six unprocessed facets. Both trunk sections are interrupted by six-sided nodes. The cylinder frames have two edges; in which finial profiles are cut out. Each buttress is decorated with a curl adorned with curls; pinnacles and a window trace. Three connecting pieces have the shape of spouts. On the inside; the buttress has a decoration made up of finial profiles. The crown consists of a square traced lantern with pinnacles supporting buttresses at the corners; a high spire with an engraved roof; on which a sphere is riveted. The ornament of the cylinder frames has broken off here and there. This is also the case with the host holder and the cross on the spire.
