Cotton cuff with bobbin lace and c-shaped motif; Cotton cuff with a strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Lille lace. The repeating pattern consists of a c-shaped pattern along the underside of the strip; the open side being closed off by an oblique line of four concatenated shapes. The successive c-shaped motifs are connected to each other at the bottom by a pointed oval-shaped field. On the center line is a row of irregularly shaped motifs. The motifs are connected to each other by a fine grid; a lawn. The sparingly full work is made in linen; with thicker and shiny contour threads. Two types of decorative ground have been used; alternately in the c-shaped motif and in the pointed oval field. The top is finished straight and put on the cuff. The faint scalloped bottom is finished with picots.; anonymous; Southern Netherlands; c. 1800 - c. 1899; textiel; katoen; Lille lace; l 18 cm x w 7 cm x; 2.6 cm
